Eyesight check
Read a number plate from 20 metres for a new-style plate or 20.5 metres for an old-style one.
Show me, tell me
One safety question before moving and one control demonstration during the drive.
General and independent driving
Around 35 minutes total, including 20 to 35 minutes following a sat nav, signs or both.
Reversing exercise
Parallel park, bay park, or pull up on the right and reverse around two car lengths.
A wrong turn is not a fault.
The examiner will help you return to the route. Keep driving safely rather than trying to rescue the direction suddenly.
