Effective 12 July 2026
The simple rules for using Layna.
These terms apply when you use the Layna website, create an account or buy a plan. They are written for personal use by learner drivers in Great Britain.
Who provides Layna
Layna provides the Layna service. Questions and formal notices can be sent to hello@layna.app.
1. What Layna provides
Layna provides revision, planning and practice tools for theory and practical driving tests. Layna is independent from GOV.UK and DVSA. The service supports your learning alongside official material, safe supervised practice and professional instruction; it does not guarantee a pass or replace the judgement of an examiner.
2. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us promptly if you think somebody else has used your account. Your account is for you and must not be sold, shared or used to give other people paid access. If you are not legally able to agree to a paid purchase yourself, a parent or guardian must make that purchase for you.
3. Free and paid plans
Free features are identified on the site. Before a paid order, checkout shows the plan, price, billing pattern, taxes where applicable and the features included. A monthly plan renews at the interval shown until it is cancelled. A one-off plan does not create a recurring charge.
Stripe processes payments. The name “Premium until you pass” describes the access and Pass Promise shown for that offer; it is not a guarantee that you will pass a test.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Monthly billing can be cancelled from the billing controls in your account. Refunds, cooling-off rights and what happens after cancellation are explained in the refunds and cancellations policy. Nothing in these terms reduces your rights under UK consumer law.
5. Safe and acceptable use
Do not use Layna while driving. Follow the law, the Highway Code and the instructions of your supervising driver or instructor. Do not attempt to break security, overload the service, scrape content at scale, introduce harmful code, impersonate another person or use Layna for an unlawful purpose.
6. Content and ownership
Layna owns or licenses the website, branding, original questions, explanations, diagrams and software. You may use the service and make reasonable personal notes for your own learning. You may not republish, sell, copy at scale or build a competing question bank from Layna content without written permission. Official materials and credited assets remain subject to their own rights and licences.
7. Availability and account action
We work to keep Layna available and accurate, but maintenance, security work and faults can interrupt access. We may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give a fair chance to resolve the issue.
8. Our responsibility
We are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. Layna is supplied for personal learning, so we are not responsible for business loss. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that law does not allow us to exclude.
9. Changes and disputes
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal or security changes. If a change materially affects an account or paid plan, we will give reasonable notice. The mandatory consumer laws and courts that apply where you live remain available to you.
